Endoscopic removal of two giant fibrovascular polyps of the esophagus using the two channel, two devices technique

An 81-year-old woman with a history of hypertension and transient ischemic attack was at a rehabilitation facility where she had an acute onset of a gurgling cough and eventually coughed up fleshy tissue that protruded from her mouth. She was able to hold the lesion in place with her hand, but while en route to the hospital by ambulance, the lesion retracted back into her throat. She denied having any such previous episodes and had no previous GI symptoms, including dysphagia. A CT scan of the chest revealed a "giant" polyp that measured 12 cm in length and hung from the upper esophagus.
