We thank the physicians from the Concord Hospital, Sydney, Australia, for their interest in our study. We demonstrated the efficacy of 22-gauge and 25-gauge needles in EUS-FNA of solid pancreas masses in a prospective, randomized study, with a trend toward a higher yield of definitive diagnosis with 25-gauge needles. Dr Fanning et al provide additional data from a retrospective review of solid masses from different locations that further support a trend favoring the use of 25-gauge needles.
