Prices rebound sharply as costs soar

Following three months of sharply falling notations, European standard thermoplastic prices took a steep upward climb last month. An unexpectedly sharp upswing in crude oil and naphtha prices in July pushed up petrochemical spot prices in their wake. Not surprisingly the monthly contract prices for polymer feedstock saw sizeable increases in August.
