Pledger Creek Improvement Project

The Pledger Creek site is located in Southern New Jersey. Sevenson was hired by a private company to complete a creek remediation / improvement project under the direction of the property owner and with guidance and support by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The scope of work included re-grading an area of an inactive on-site industrial landfill, dredging impacted sediments from three separate creek reaches (Northern Pledger Creek (NPC), Central Pledger Creek (CPC), and Southern Pledger Creek (SPC). The landfill is located at the southwest portion of the facility. The creek reaches which required sediment dredging are west, north, and adjacent to the facility. The primary contaminants of concern were mercury, other metals, and semi-volatile compounds.
