On the Europeanization of health law.

The title of this issue's editorial* contains two terms, both of which still retain enough uncertainty to merit an entire article each: 'Europeanization' and 'health law'. What is 'Europeanization'? And what is 'health law'? The first question is one of conceptual understanding whereas the second question is one of categorisation. 'Europeanization' can mean a range of different ideas. The use of the term 'health law' begs the question whether this is something akin to 'contract law', just dealing with health rather than contracts -it already seems clear that it's not as easy as that. I will superficially address both terms in turn before letting them collide later. It is my view that the very nature of health law means that large scale Europeanization is not only inevitable but also desirable and I seek to show as much here.
