It is established that the majority of technogenic compounds of Ni, Cu, and Pb in soddy-podzolic soils are incorporated into organomineral fractions. Metal concentrations in these fractions twice exceed metal concentrations in the bulk soil mass. This enables us to use organomineral fractions as sensitive indicators of soil contamination. The different affinity of Ni, Cu, and Pb to clay and light fractions reflects the diversity of transformation mechanisms of technogenic compounds in soils.
