Chilean avocados to benefit from new PR campaign: Promotional activities aimed at the consumer will take place in the UK for the first time in 2005

CHILEAN avocados are to be promoted in the UK for the first time this season as part of a new promotional campaign being put together by the Chilean Avocado Committee. Details are now being finalised forthe start of the UK campaign, which will represent the Chilean Avocado Committee's first venture into the promotional arena in the European marketplace. "We hope to invite a number of food journalists, chefs, nutritionists and writers from the UK consumer press to Chile to introduce them to our avocado industry and to provide them with new ideas for avocado usage," says Adolfo Ochagavia, general manager of the Chilean Avocado Committee.
