Engineers at the University of California in Berkeley have developed an interactive electronic skin, a pliable rubber-like interface incorporating sensors and OLEDs, which responds to touch by lighting up. The more intense the pressure, the brighter the light that it emits. Interactive wallpaper that illuminates when touched is one of the potential applications, as well as sensory robotics and dashboard laminates that allow drivers to adjust electronic controls with the wave of a hand.
