摘要

Anatomy of the oral disc of the proboscis flagellum has been studied in 715 species of the families Sca-thophagidae. Anthomyiidae, Fanniidae, Muscidae, Calliphoridae, Sarcophagidae, and Tachinidae (Diplcra). The morphological and functional types of the flagellum and morphological variants of the proboscis have been distinguished. Correlations between the structure of mouthparts and the type of adult feeding habits have been revealed. In most of dipteran insects, the adult feeding is aimed to providewith energy vital processes of reproduction and settling and leads to an increase in the lifespan of individuals. The important role of adult feeding in the evolution of Diptera has been conclusively confirmed by Zaitzev (1984, 1987, 1992) for the example of flies of the superfamily Bombylioidea. He also paid close attention to the description of morphological and functional adaptations of the mouth apparatus of flies and to the fine structure of the labella of the oral disc in adult flies of the infraorder Asilomor-pha sensu Rodendorf (1977).
