A field trial was laid out to determine the field efficacy of granular insecticides against leaf roller (Cttaphalocrocis medinalis) and stem borer Tryporyza incertulas (Walk) infesting rice crop. On the basis of data on two crop seasons individually,cartap, carbofuran and phorat at I kg a. i./ha were found more effective as compared to fenthion and fenitrotMon in suppressing the leaf roller and stem borer incidence in both the years. Maximum grain yield (53.0 q/ha) was obtained with the applicationof cartap at 1.0 kg a. i./ha which was statistically at par with the use of carbofuran and phorat at 1.0 kg a.i./ha.
