BUNKERS

Bunkers, as we know, can be a contentious subject. Whethet you have ten or over a hundred (and some courses do!), most clubs spend a considerable amount of time and resource on just managing them for play. This may involve raking two or three times per week as well as running an ongoing renovation and management programme, all of which is time consuming. The reward for this work is usually in the form of complaints about the 'state of the bunkers', their condition and payability. It is therefore worthwhile putting some perspective on bunkers, their evolution and current standards.
