The southern United States has seen quite an explosion in popularity with the new creeping bentgrasses in recent years. Older putting surfaces are being converted to the newer bentgrasses for greater speed and better heat tolerance. The most popular of the newer creeping bentgrasses being utilised today include G2,AI,A4, Dominant Plus, 007 andTyee. These newer bentgrass cultivars have been introduced in the South and into the lower Transition Zone over the past few years.
