The effect of foliar nutrient with urea and methods of planting on Borage (Borago officinalis) productivity

Planting Borage plants by transplanting produced significant increase in plant height, number of branches, herbage dry weight and flower dry weight than directs sowing method. The later produced the heaviest seed yield either per plant or per plot with higher fixed oil percentage. Urea foliar spray 1 percent produced taller plants with higher branch number and yields of leaves and flowers. Seed production was favoured by higher urea concentration, however fixed oil percentages were higher by low urea concentration.
