NEW THOUGHTS ON EMC

During the last half-century, the subject of electromagnetic compatibility, or EMC for short, has become increasingly complex and confusing. It now presents an onerous burden to the system designer. EMC is just another functional requirement on a system, and can be treated as such. All that is needed is an understanding of the coupling mechanisms. Given such an understanding, a few simple guidelines can be formulated.
