INNOVATE TO INSULATE

摘要

As thermal performance requirements have become harder and more expensive to achieve, all sectors of the construction industry need to consider building a thicker external envelope to provide space for insulation. This need is only going to increase as the industry moves toward the'zero-carbon'target. For timber frame construction, merely increasing the depth of solid timber studs and fitting more insulation between them is becoming insufficient to meet the increasing requirements for thermal and energy performance.
