Davies containing a fair amount of theory, but there are techniques in it that you can apply to your programmes straight away. It is aimed at people in a pure programme management, portfolio office or senior executive role, as there might not be much in it that project managers will be able to put into practice without senior support. The book starts with a good feature: Executive Questions.This is a useful way of explaining to people using the book the questions that will be answered by reading it, and forms an annotated table of contents, so the reader can flick to the section that most interests them first.
