There are regulations in place to ensure equal access for all. The introduction of the third phase of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 meant that every business, large or small, had to accept the responsibility of becoming more 'user friendly' to Britain's 10 million disabled people. Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) relates to the provision of goods, facilities and services, and the selling, letting or management of premises, making it unlawful to refuse to serve a disabled person for reasons which relate to their disability; offer a sub-standard service to disabled people; or provide a service on different terms.
