摘要

Better consideration of how performance and health relates to ventilation, air temperature and perceived air quality could reap financial rewards for companies. This is the message of a major independent study into the impact of poor internal environments on workers. More research is needed to strengthen the relationships between health effects and indoor environmental factors, believes Professor Olli Seppanen. In his paper, 'Indoor Climate and Productivity' he points out that this lack of quantitative data is hindering health and performance-related factors from being taken fully into account when designing and operating buildings.
