This is a moment of profound significance. We all came to this beautiful city of St. Petersburg and historic country of Russia with a sense of anticipation and deep emotion, not only because we are here in the city of the fathers of modern Psychophysiology, but also because their last heirs, Evgeni Sokolov and Natalia Bechtereva, would have been here with us, if they were not gone before this World Congress and left us with a great sense of loss and now, we have their irreplaceable memory in history.
