SO WHERE DID ALL THE MOSS COME FROM?

In my short time as an agronomist with STRI it has become very apparent that moss is one of the longest standing problems that still plague turf managers and agronomists alike. Having been asked to write my first bulletin article I then had to think of what to write about and it struck me that the topics which would spark the most interest would be those that are current. The problem of moss seemed to fulfil these criteria. It is one of the oldest problems turf managers have had to face and it became a particular problem during last autumn and winter. I can honestly say that most of my telephone enquiries since the autumn have been regarding moss, even being called into one club to specifically advise on a moss problem!
