South Korea imported 2.43 million b/d of crude oil in October, up 6.4% on a year earlier, according to data from Korea National Oil Corp. (KNOC). Imports from Saudi Arabia rose by 15.9% to 796,000 b/d - the first double-digit growth in Saudi volumes since March - while deliveries from the UAE slid 12.1% to 376,000 b/d on reduced term allocations. Although Iraqi imports increased 30.2% to 125,000 b/d, Iraq slid to sixth place on the supplier list from third in September (IOD Oct.26,p8). Omani imports quadrupled to 110,000 b/d.
