PetroChina's Jiangsu LNG Terminal Likely to Take Qatari LNG

Chinese state PetroChina's planned LNG import terminal in Jiangsu province is likely to import supplies from Qatar, the firm said Friday.The first phase of the project in Rudong is expected to cost about 6 billion yuan ($877 million) to develop, with capacity totaling 3.5 million metric tons per year. This would translate into about 4.8 billion cubic meters (465 million cubic feet per day) of natural gas, the firm said. It will also be able to accommodate Q-max-sized LNG carriers.
