Shell Gets Beaufort Sea OK

The US Interior Department said it will allow Royal Dutch Shell to proceed with its offshore exploration plans on leases in the Beaufort Sea off Alaska's North Slope. Shell's Beaufort leases had been in limbo following a federal court ruling earlier this year which suspended leases purchased by the company in 2005 and 2007.
