摘要

Personality has an important role to play in helping both psychologists andmanagers understand the nature of work-related behavior and performance.Building on and extending the recent chapter in the International Review of In-dustrial and Organizational Psychology (IRIOP) series by Cortina and Ingerick(2005), the aim of the current chapter is to provide an expanded, narrativereview of the recent advances in the research investigating the relationshipbetween personality and work-related behavior and performance. This litera-ture suggests without doubt that although there are some limitations to pastresearch, it does lay an important foundation for both organizational practicesand for future research.
