Dolphin shapes up for commercial applications and looks outside of automotive

THE Dolphin process for making soft-skinned automotive interior components was shown publicly in May 2006,but only as a concept.Since then it has been refined for commercial implementation and at K2007 it will be demonstrated in association with Johnson Controls,producing a soft-touch arm rest.BASF is working with Scania to use the process to make instrument panels for trucks.And while these are still automotive products,the partners in the project are now looking for applications outside the automotive industry,such as furniture.
