Bernal Model: A Simple Equilibrium Theory of Closehyphen;Packed Liquids

摘要

The Bernal model of a hardhyphen;sphere liquid is used in conjunction with an extension of the cell method to predict the behavior of liquid argon near melting. The entropy of disorder associated with the Bernal state is deduced. The model is found to be applicable to liquid metals.
