Interchange of Fissionhyphen;Product Bromine with Carrier Bromine

Experiments on the interchange of the fission products 2.4hyphen;hr Br83and 55.6hyphen;sec Br87with carrier bromine have been performed. Essentially the same degree of interchange is effected by the following chemical procedures: carrier added as BrO3minus;and reduced by H2S, carrier added as BrO3minus;and reduced by excess carrier Brminus;, and carrier added as Brminus;to HCl and irradiated uranium metal dissolved.
