Hellmannmdash;Feynman Theorem in Curvilinear Coordinate Systems

The generalized Hellmannmdash;Feynman theorem in curvilinear coordinates is discussed both for exact and for ``floating'' variational wavefunctions. Particular attention is given to the possibility that the volume element in curvilinear coordinates may depend on the parameter with respect to which one wishes to differentiate the energy.
