The isotopic thermalhyphen;diffusion factor agr;0for krypton has been determined over a temperature range of 242deg; to 643deg;K. An artificial mixture of krypton isotopes containing about 1482Kr and 1086Kr was utilized in this study in conjunction with a 10hyphen;tube swing separator, agr;0being obtained from the concentration changes in these two isotopes only. A leasthyphen;squares fitting procedure yields potential parameters agr;=16.1plusmn;0.6, and egr;/k=244deg;plusmn;13deg;K for the exponentialhyphen;six potential model. Further leasthyphen;squares fitting with viscosity data givesrm=3.88plusmn;0.02 Aring;. Satisfactory agreements have been obtained, between experimental data and values calculated according to the present potential, for coefficients of diffusion and thermal conductivity. The calculated values for second virial coefficient from this potential, however, shows rather poor agreement with the experimental values.
