The dynamic properties of a piece-wise linear (PWL) circuit model of hysteresis are presented. The model is defined as a superposition of hysteresis operators originated by proper voltages in a simple PWL circuit. Static hysteresis and the dynamic features are governed by different parameters of the model. Thus, proper identification procedures can be used to determine the parameters controlling the rate-independent hysteresis behavior as well as a prefixed frequency dependence of the hysteresis cycle. Basic features and numerical results are discussed.
