Xhyphen;Ray Investigation of a Highhyphen;Pressure Phase of NH4F and ND4F

Xhyphen;ray powder diffraction patterns were obtained for highhyphen;pressure modifications of NH4F and ND4F under purely hydrostatic conditions. The structure of both salts could be indexed in a tetragonal unit cell,a0=10.2 Aring;,c0=3.37 Aring;. The transition was observed at 3.64plusmn;0.02 kbar for both ND4F and NH4F. The zerohyphen;pressure lattice parameters were determined to bea0=4.4389plusmn;0.0004 Aring;,c0=7.1635plusmn;0.0004 Aring;, anda0=4.4378plusmn;0.0004 Aring;, for NH4F and ND4F, respectively.
