Temperature dependence of associative detachment reactions

The temperature dependences of the rate coefficients for the associative detachment reactions Ominus;+NO, Sminus;+CO, and Sminus;+O2have been measured. All rate coefficients varied asTminus;0.74plusmn;0.1. In addition, the rate coefficients and branching ratios for the reactions Ominus;+C2H2and Ominus;+C2H4have also been studied as a function of temperature. Both reactions were found to have a large associative detachment channel over the entire temperature range 140ndash;494 K.
