An analysis of theAthinsp;1Sgr;u+ndash;Xthinsp;1Sgr;g+band system of7Li2thinsp;

A new analysis of theAthinsp;1Sgr;u+ndash;Xthinsp;1Sgr;g+band system of7Li2has been made. The analysis extends fromvprime;=0 tovprime;=25, fromvPrime;=0 tovPrime;=14, and up toJ=78. The dissociation energy of theAstate is found to be 8940 cmminus;1, considerably less than any earlier estimate of that energy. The RKR potential curves for theAandXstates are given, together with the Franckndash;Condon factors for theAndash;Xtransition.
