摘要

A simple quantum number scaling relationship is developed for electron transfer reactions. The theory, which is restricted to a single electronic state in the reactants and products, utilizes the Franckndash;Condon assumption in conjunction with the exponential distorted wave approximation for the dynamics. We show that the entire set of unknown statehyphen;tohyphen;state cross sections can be generated from one cross section plus two additional parameters. As an application of this result, we deconvolute the final state summed cross sections to recover the individual statehyphen;tohyphen;state values with fair to good accuracy.
