摘要

The Zeeman effect of the81Br and35Cl nuclear quadrupole resonance has been studied with high precision on single crystals ofparahyphen;bromophenol andparahyphen;chlorophenol, respectively. The results substantially agree with previous xhyphen;ray and NQR studies ofparahyphen;chlorophenol (xhyphen;ray studies are known only for this substance). In phyphen;bromophenol, four physically inequivalent sites were found, instead of two, as reported by other authors. Values of the asymmetry parameter are, respectively,eegr;Brthinsp;equals;thinsp;0.0534thinsp;plusmn;thinsp;0.001,eegr;Clthinsp;equals;thinsp;0.071thinsp;plusmn;thinsp;0.001(34.12 MHz), andeegr;Clthinsp;equals;thinsp;0.096thinsp;plusmn;thinsp;0.001(34.35 MHz).
