Morphological Development of Aluminum Oxide Crystals Grown by Vapor Deposition

摘要

The growth of aluminum oxide crystals by vaporhyphen;phase chemical reaction has been studied at an elevated temperature. The growth process was observed microscopically in progress. The results are of particular interest since they pertain to the growth of an anisotropic crystal structure. The course of morphological development was consistent with crystal growth theory.
