Lifetime measurements have been made on theA2Sgr;plus;state of OH by the delayed coincidence technique in conjunction with an interrupted rf discharge through water vapor. Lifetimes are reported for rotational states up toKequals;29 andKequals;20 in the ngr;equals;0 and ngr;equals;1 vibrational levels, respectively, and on the unresolved levels of ngr;equals;2. A predissociation, previously predicted from relative intensity measurements, resulting from a curve crossing by the repulsive4Sgr;minus;state, was observed for the rotational states aboveKequals;23 of ngr;equals;0, for those aboveKequals;14 of ngr;equals;1, and for all those of ngr;equals;2. These lifetime data are discussed qualitatively in terms of the electronichyphen;rotational perturbation matrices and the vibrational overlap integrals.
