Theahyphen; andbhyphen;type rotational spectra of the protonated and deuterated nitrous oxide have been investigated in the millimeter and submillimeter frequency range. The molecular ions were produced in a magnetically confined glow discharge. The comparison between the accurate molecular constants deduced from the analysis of the spectra and different sets deduced fromabinitiocalculations gives structural information on the observed species: the experimental spectra belong to the Ohyphen;protonated and hyphen;deuterated nitrous oxide.
