The magnetic form factor of Cu++in CuCl2sdot;2D2O has been calculated using the Trammell method. It is shown that the experimental data can be interpreted very well without the introduction of anadhocparameter bgr; as was done by Umebayashi, Frazer, Cox, and Shirane. Aspherical magnetic scattering is shown to be substantial. A 22percnt; contraction of the spherical form factor relative to the free ion case is found. This explains the major part of the 29percnt; contraction of the experimental data.
