Textile machinery exhibitions internationally used to have a hefty chunk of knitting. It was much abbreviated at this exhibition. Knitting is a big sector in which competition is fierce. The knitting part of the 2006 CITME gave me an impression of caution or reservation. The better side of the exhibition however is the participation of many Chinese exhibitors who we can rarely meet in other international shows. Comparing this event with others, part of the exhibitors did not seem to be as well prepared.
