I really like these two books, as the concept and delivery is, on the whole very well executed. They are 96-page hardback full-colour books that look at the railways in the 1970s, with plenty of tasty pictures. Strathwood produced a series of books not so long ago let down by poor picture selection and reproduction, but thankfully that has been addressed in these two texts and most pictures make the grade. I love the fact that the pictures are almost exclusively unpublished before, and they really capture the feel of watching trains in the 1970s when BR blue ruled.
