The Class 47 is one of the most popular locomotives with ready-to-run manufacturers. Within the last five years we've seen Heljan and Bachmann release high-quality models, and now ViTrains has stepped up to the mark and offered its vision.The 47 is only ViTrains' second ready-to-run 'CO' gauge model. The look of the model is important, and this 47 is clearly what it sets out to be. The body is neatly moulded and offers plenty of detail, particularly on the roofs where the large number of grilles are apparent. ViTrains has based its model around locomotives converted to Electric Train Supply, so the roof includes a blanking plate over the steam heat boiler exhaust.
