The Design Driven Value Chains in the World of Cellulose(or DWoC)research project of Aalto University,Tampere University of Technology and the University of Vaasa develops pulp-based products for technical textiles and consumer products.>>In the first phase,we took genuine leaps in the advancement of the technology.We've already demoed new pulp-based material structures such as yarns,soft,porous structures and 3D-printed structures,>>says VTT's Project Manager Kirsi Kataja.The project has now entered its second phase,and will continue until 2018.The objective is to find new applications for pulp,develop technologies and create a foundation for a new business ecosystem and new spin-off companies.
