Scattering Function for a Simple Fluid near the Critical Point

The treatment by Felderhof of the scattering function for a simple fluid near its critical point is extended. Both the hydrodynamic equations and the scattering function are derived simultaneously; this makes it possible to avoid the difficulty in Felderhof's treatment that certain parameters are left undetermined.
