Construction principle for stable multiplyhyphen;negative charged molecular systems. Part I. Doublyhyphen;negative charged systems

摘要

The existence of free dianionic M2X2minus;4alkali halides which are designed according to a recently introduced construction principle is discussed. The systems are found to be highly ionic. Considerable evidence for their stability to fragmentation and to electron autodetachment is predicted at various levels of theory.
