Radiohyphen;frequency transitions between the hfs levels of theJ=1 rotational state in85Rb19F have been observed using a molecular beam electric resonance spectrometer. From these spectra we have obtained values for the constanteq1Q1, which characterizes the interaction between the electric quadrupole moment of the Rb nucleus with the molecular electrichyphen;field gradient; for the constantsc1andc2which characterize the magnetic interaction between the Rb and F nuclei, respectively, and the rotational angular momentumJof the molecule; and for the constantsc3andc4which describe the magnetic coupling of the two nuclear spins. Measurements have been made on the firsthyphen;five vibrational states. The results forv=0 areeq1Q1equals;lpar;minus;70.342plusmn;0.001rpar;thinsp;MHz,c1equals;lpar;plus;0.52plusmn;0.02rpar;thinsp;kHz,c2equals;lpar;plus;10.615plusmn;0.06rpar;thinsp;kHz,c3equals;lpar;plus;0.80plusmn;0.06rpar;thinsp;kHz,c4equals;lpar;plus;0.15plusmn;0.05rpar;thinsp;kHz.Values of these constants forv=1, 2, 3, and 4 are given with somewhat less precision.
