Composition fluctuations and phase diagrams in ternary micellar solutions

The composition fluctuations and the fluctuation ellipses are calculated for ternary micellar solutions. This permits, in conjunction with earlier papers on the relation between composition fluctuations and phase diagrams, information on the width of the size distribution of the micelles to be extracted from the geometry of the phase diagram. The slope of the phase boundary above the cmc is shown to provide information on the composition of the micelles.
