Spectroscopic studies on napththalene in the vapor phase. III. Phosphorescence and intersystem crossing yields of single vibronic levels

Gashyphen;phase phosphorescence spectra of naphthalenehyphen;h8and hyphen;d8are reported. A triplet lifetime of 4.2 msec was derived from the 000band of the nhyphen;h8phosphorescence. Intersystem crossing yields of single vibronic levels inS1were determined from excitation spectra of biacetyl phosphorescence.
