Role reversal

In their conventional role, pinch valves are normally open to permit product to flow freely. However, in their pressure-relief role, constant air pressure is applied to keep the pinch valve sleeve closed, with it opening when line pressure exceeds the air pressure on the pinch valve. Effectively working in reverse, Paladon pinch valves are finding multiple applications as pressure relief valves, protecting pumps and their motors from damage.
