For many nurses involved in change projects in the U K, the idea of everyone celebrating their work will seem hollow. It is all too common for practitioners who have innovative ideas to find themselves unsupported at best, and sabotaged at worst. The principal reason that change projects funded by the Queen's Nursing Institute struggle i: lack of local support. When those around the practitioner are continually cynical or hostile, it is difficult for him or her to persevere with an innovative idea.
